Don’t let the price make you hesitate—this isn’t just a purchase, it’s a smart investment. When it comes to classic Vespas, value is driven by rarity, and the Super Sport is in a league of its own. Produced for only three short years at roughly 10,000 units annually worldwide, its production numbers are a fraction of other Vespa models that saw runs in the millions. That kind of scarcity is exactly what collectors chase, and history has shown time and again that rare models climb in value faster. This particular Super Sport comes offered and supported by the renowned team at Bello Moto—hands down the finest classic Vespa experts in the United States,

Offered by the good folks over at Bello Moto, this Vespa is an ideal choice for the upcoming summer—one you can ride and enjoy without worrying about breakdowns or putting a scratch in the paint. Powered by a strong, newer LML/Piaggio engine and fully inspected and sorted by Bello Moto, this Vespa should require little to no maintenance and delivers reliable, stress-free riding. The classic Vespa VBA/VBB models are becoming harder and harder to find, and when they do surface, they are often priced much higher simply because owners know what they have. Designed in the 1950s and manufactured from the late 1950s through the early 1960s, this is a true Vespa classic with timeless styling and proven engineering. Priced fairly at under $7,000, it represents a solid value in today’s classic Vespa market.

Located in Naples Italia, "Officine Storiche Napoletane". I have been to this shop in Naples, had the pleasure of meeting Francesco the owner and these restorations are as authentic as it gets. If you have the money, I would say it would be money well spent to actually have a real Italian restoration done by Francesco's artisan Vespa restorers. Franceso ships worldwide.

This 1959 Vespa VBA 150 isn’t the type of factory-correct scooter we usually feature, but we often hear from enthusiasts looking for sportier custom builds. Fitted with a 200cc engine, upgraded 10-inch wheels, and a front disc brake to match the added performance, it delivers far more punch than stock. The removed front fender gives it a stripped, race-style look—though riders should expect a bit of spray on wet roads. Bold, purposeful, and clearly built with performance in mind, this custom vintage Vespa is currently offered at auction on Bring a Trailer.

1968 Vespa Rally , a model that is becoming increasingly hard to find. This is the kind of Vespa you can enjoy riding as-is for a while, with the understanding that it will ultimately need another proper restoration in the future. From the photos, the paintwork appears to have a heavier amount of body filler than ideal, which is noticeable by the missing seam on the front fender. There is some rust present here and there, but nothing that appears major. That said, this is still a very desirable model, and when restored correctly, Vespa Rallys are worth well over $12,000. At an asking price of $5,500, this represents a fair deal for someone who wants to ride it now and plan for a proper restoration down the road.

1966 Vespa Allstate 125 it is a truly all-original scooter that’s now 60 years old, still wearing its original paint. It even retains a Marine base pass on the front fender from over 50 years ago, along with the iconic Allstate blue badge from when it was sold new through Sears. Yes—Sears, Roebuck & Co. sold Vespas in the 1950s and 1960s, making this a genuine piece of Italian-Americana history. Whoever is lucky enough to buy it, please don’t restore or repaint it—we might come looking for you! (Just kidding… mostly.) Jokes aside- finding a barn-find Allstate in this kind of honest, original condition is genuinely rare. Be sure to check out the video link in our classifieds.

The 1963 Vespa VBB 150 is a great model, known for its rounded body and vintage curves. Although the paint color isn’t original, it’s still a nice choice for a classic Vespa. This particular scooter has been listed on eBay for quite a while, and at $6,000 it could be a good deal—provided it runs well and all the electrical components are functioning. One concern is that the engine may not be original. Please confirm this with the seller, as a non-original engine would lower the overall value. If interested, request a video showing the scooter running and demonstrating that everything works. -Mark C.

1975 Vespa Super 150 — a hard-to-find example preserved in true time-capsule condition. Finished in its original 1970s mustard yellow paint and still has the funky U.S. DOT-mandated turn indicators, this Vespa is exactly as it left the era. Many collectors would say it would be sacrilegious to change a thing. The charm is in its authenticity — leave it in its mid-’70s original condition and simply ride and enjoy it. Priced under $3,000, this is a rare opportunity to own an honest, unmolested Vespa at a great value.

This 1984 Vespa P200E looks solid in every way — definitely not a basket case. As a general rule, a clean P-series Vespa like this is always worth at least $5,000. The seller notes that the frame has been powder-coated as the paint finish, and the engine includes a few performance upgrades, such as an aftermarket exhaust and carburetor. Overall, this P200E appears to be a strong, well-cared-for example with tasteful improvements. At $4,500, it represents a fair deal for anyone looking for a reliable and collectible vintage Vespa.

A rare find in absolutely stunning restored condition. This 1982 Vespa ET3 has been professionally restored by the experts at Bello Moto, and it shows. The brilliant red finish is exceptional, and the scooter has only 14 kilometers since restoration — essentially brand new. The ET3 was a limited-production model, with “ET3” standing for Electronic Ignition — a significant innovation of its era. You won’t come across one of these often, especially in this condition. While the price might give you pause, consider this Vespa an investment piece. Like all great classics, its value is only headed in one direction — up. Offered by the experts at Bello Moto in San Francisco This LD is a true piece of Italian history. My first scooter in France as a young man was a used 1956 Lambretta LD, just like this one. In the late 1950's -early 1960s, the LD was the most popular scooter in France. They lined the streets, known for their reliability, style and affordable price. In my village, many young adults owned them—men and women alike—and they were proud to ride a Lambretta, especially knowing it was manufactured in France at the plant near Troyes in the northeast. It's my opinion, the LD remains one of the most beautifully designed scooters ever made, and this example from Bello Moto is no exception. Restored in Italy, it has been completed to a perfect standard and captures the beauty and spirit of the era.

This looks like a blast—a custom Vespa, actually an Allstate (the classic Vespa sold through Sears), featuring a standout powder-coated paint job, which means the body had to be in excellent condition to begin with. It sports a built 177cc engine, upgraded front suspension, and a restoration that’s far from typical—done right with a bold, eye-catching finish. Priced at $7,000, it's a fair deal for the quality , but don’t hesitate to reach out—the seller is open to making a deal.

1960 Vespa GS 150, widely considered the ultimate GS for serious Vespa collectors. This example was found by digging deep on Cycle Trader, and the seller clearly knows what they have. The asking price is around $18,000, which is generally correct for a properly restored GS 150. However, while this Vespa presents well overall, the restoration appears slightly off in a few areas. It’s not far from being right, but it does not appear to be true concours condition, and at an $18k price point, it really needs to be. Based on the visible details, a more realistic value for this particular scooter would be closer to the $14,000–$15,000 range. If this Vespa interests you, it’s worth reaching out to the seller to discuss details and see if there’s room to negotiate. A correctly restored GS 150 will always command top dollar and continue to appreciate, but condition at this level matters.

1985 Vespa T5 Pole Position, the ultimate collector’s dream for any Formula One fan. In the mid-1980s, Vespa launched a promotional campaign in which every F1 Grand Prix driver who secured pole position was awarded a brand-new Vespa. Icons like Ayrton Senna and Nelson Piquet famously won this exact model, making the T5 a unique piece of motorsport history. Beyond its racing heritage, the T5 stands out as one of the most desirable performance 125 cc Vespas ever built, featuring five-transfer ports, an aluminium cylinder and distinctive sport styling that set it apart from the standard PX models. If you’re passionate about Vespa culture and Formula One history, this rare machine is the perfect blend of both worlds. A true collector’s piece, ready for someone who appreciates speed, style and legend.
-Mark C.
This scooter is advertised as a 1960 Vespa GL, however that designation is incorrect. The Vespa GL 150, also known as the Gran Lusso, was produced from 1962 to 1965, with total production numbering under 80,000 units, making it a highly desirable and collectible vintage Vespa when properly represented. Currently listed in Cycle Trader and offered by Texas Motor’s Powersport in Florida with an asking price of $15,000 OBO, the “or best offer” is the most important detail here. While the scooter presents well at first glance, it would require a true concours-level restoration to justify anything close to the asking price. As it stands, the restoration does not meet showroom standards, and a more realistic market value would be closer to $8,000. Despite the misrepresentation of the year and the shortcomings in restoration quality, the GL remains a rare and significant model that may still appeal to knowledgeable collectors who understand its true value and production history.
